Challenge
A regional multi-sport tournament needed a structured way to register participating clubs and athletes, manage supporting documents and approvals, and centralize tournament information across multiple countries and sports.
Responsibility
I architected, designed, developed and deployed the platform, coding the core system in custom PHP and managing the project through launch and tournament use.
Approach
Unify registration, documents, approvals and tournament information in one managed platform.
Architecture & implementation
The platform combined athlete and club registration, approval workflows, document management, administrative controls and tournament information. The public experience included registration entry points, committee registration, certificates, logistics commitments, regulations, hotels, sports facilities and supporting guides.
Outcome
The system supported the tournament's digital registration process for an event involving 47 clubs from 11 countries across 9 sports.
Evidence & supporting material
A production platform screenshot survives in Sharjah Sports Council's 2020 IT records, while Emirates News Agency publicly announced the electronic registration platform ahead of the tournament.
